Definition of Green: Changing Lifestyles
In environmental terms it is the practice of using methods that contribute to the health of this planet we all share called Earth.
Green living incorporates conservation into our daily life, whether it be through consuming less non-renewable energy, recycling reusable materials, or even eating less meat.
The great part is that living green does more than help the planet, you will discover your health will improve, and you will actually save money too!
Green Living Choices.
We all make choices every day.
You need to run up to the store to pick up a couple of items. Instead of jumping in your car and using up fuel from your gas tank, you decide to use your energy and walk or ride a bicycle to the store. That simple choice you made provided a healthy source of exercise for you while saving you money on gas. Pretty cool, huh?
While you were at the store you were deciding what to have for dinner. Your appetite is up from all the exercise riding your bike or walking provided you, and you find yourself hankering for a fresh, healthy dinner.
Your instincts lead you over to the fresh produce department, where you pick out a fresh, crispy, green head of lettace, a few bright red juicy tomatoes, a nice crisp cucumber, and a few other fresh vegetables to go into your salad. A few other vegetables catch your eye and you buy a few fresh veggies to steam to go along with your salad, and you toss them into your basket as well.
On your way out you pass the bread section, grab a loaf of fresh, warm french bread, and you have the makings of a delicious meal that is healthy and sustains the body better than processed, chemically laced foods and meats.
After dinner, you decide not to watch another rerun on TV. Instead, you talk the kids into going outside with you, play a game of catch, or a simple game of hide and go seek, or tag, anything where you are interacting with each other, getting exercise and having fun!
Simple examples of green living. You can take the practice of living green as far as you want in your life, and the further you go with it the better you will feel physically and the more money you will save in your pocket.
Pretty good deal to help save the earth, wouldn’t you agree?
